Aylesford 450mm Hi-Line Sink Base Unit
450mm Hi-Line Sink Base Unit
Precision-built and made to order, our 450mm Hi-Line Sink Base Unit is manufactured in the UK using solid 18mm Egger laminate chipboard for exceptional strength and long-term durability. Supplied fully assembled with screw & dowel construction, it delivers faster installation and superior rigidity compared to flat-pack systems.
The 720mm Hi-Line carcass height maximises storage while maintaining perfect compatibility with modern worktop heights. An inset back keeps cabinets square and ensures accurate fitting, while a 50mm rear service void allows for easy installation where pipes or electrics are surface mounted behind the units. The rear panel is removable and manufactured at 2/3 height, providing clear access for plumbing connections and trap installation.
To allow maximum flexibility for sink installation, the top rail is dropped by 5mm, making it ideal for undermount stainless steel sinks and simplifying fitting. As standard, no adjustable shelf or shelf holes are supplied, ensuring unobstructed space for waste pipes and plumbing.
Finished with 0.8mm colour-coordinated Egger edging and fitted as standard with genuine Blum CLIP top BLUMOTION soft-close hinges, every unit delivers clean sightlines, smooth operation, and a premium finish.
Supplied with HPP 150mm adjustable legs (KLW150T/0340, +20mm adjustment) for fast, accurate levelling.
Made to order in approx. 4 weeks. UK-wide delivery available.

Care & Maintenance Guide
To keep your Academy Kitchens furniture looking and performing at its best, regular and correct cleaning is essential. All cabinets and doors are manufactured using high-quality materials, including Egger laminate boards for carcases and painted timber, HDF or MDF door constructions, and should be cared for accordingly.
Failure to follow the guidance below may affect product performance and could invalidate warranty claims.
General Cleaning Advice (All Surfaces)
- Clean regularly using a soft, damp cloth and a mild household detergent if required.
- Always wipe surfaces dry after cleaning to prevent moisture build-up.
- Clean spills immediately, especially around sinks, dishwashers and boiling water taps.
- Avoid excessive water, steam or prolonged exposure to moisture.
- Ensure good kitchen ventilation, particularly when cooking.
Do Not Use
The following must never be used on any cabinet or door surface:
- Abrasive cleaners or scouring pads
- Solvents, acetone, bleach or ammonia-based cleaners
- Steam cleaners
- Microfibre cloths with abrasive coatings
- Wax, polish or silicone-based sprays
These products can damage finishes, cause discolouration, and degrade surface coatings.

Painted timber and veneer doors provide a natural, premium finish and require gentle care.
Cleaning:
- Wipe with a soft, damp cloth only.

Care Tips:
- Timber is a natural material and may react to changes in temperature and humidity.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, heat sources and steam.
- Maintain stable room conditions with adequate ventilation.
Minor variations in grain and texture are normal characteristics of natural wood and not considered defects.
Painted HDF & MDF Doors
Painted HDF and MDF doors offer a smooth, contemporary finish and excellent durability when cared for correctly.
Cleaning:
- Use a soft damp cloth and mild detergent where required.
- Dry immediately after cleaning.
Care Tips:
- Prevent water ingress at joints, edges and handle fixings.
- Avoid excessive heat or steam build-up, particularly near ovens and dishwashers.
- Do not allow moisture to penetrate damaged or chipped areas.
Hardware & Hinges
- Wipe hinges and drawer runners occasionally with a dry cloth.
- Do not apply oil, grease or cleaning sprays to soft-close mechanisms.
